Symptoms |
***Applies to Prinergy Connect, Powerpack, Direct, Satellite, depending on installed configuration.*** After normalizing, the kerning between two characters of a Truetype font has changed. |
Cause |
A Truetype font is converted into Type 1 by the Normalizer. When the Truetype font is used inside a PostScript file, the kerning between two characters may change after normalizing. | |
Solution |
1. Open a PDF page in Acrobat, select the text using the Touch-up tool. 2. Select Tools > Touch-up Text > Text Attributes, and change the font to any other, then change the font back the original font. The spacing will be normal again. Note that the actual font must be installed on the server or client platform. Permanent fix: |
