Error |
VMError: offending command |
Symptoms |
Page does not print out on proofer when sending it from Adobe Acrobat. |
Cause |
The problem is with the tint transform Creo attaches to the DeviceN colorspace. The Creo tint transform is a sampled function and the procset from Adobe does not free the memory it allocates each time it executes the function. It will execute the function for every pixel in the image and then free memory. For large images, the RIP will run out of VM (virtual memory) before finishing the image. | |

Solution |
Go the the "Advanced..." print settings dialog and choose a color profile. Chose "Adobe CMYK". This instructs Acrobat to convert the image to CMYK before it is written to PostScript and sent to the printer, and completely avoids the problem of executing leaky tint transforms at the printer's RIP.
