Error |
Symptoms |
When you run the Prinergy 2.0.4 setup from the installation cd, a Severe error message box appears with the phrase "StrFind failed". If you are installing Prinergy on a secondary server, the error message will appear right after entering the Primary server name. |
Cause |
The installer is not able to parse the registry value HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Araxi\ObjectName on the primary server. The installer assumes the format for the value is DOMAIN\USERNAME. If it appears as USER@domainname or LocalSystem, the installer will display the error message "StrFind failed". | |
Solution |
Change the Araxi service on the primary server to use a local account or domain account using the format DOMAIN\USERNAME. If the account is a local account, use the format .\USERNAME. 1) On the Primary server, in Programs -> Administrative Tools, double-click Services. 2) Right-click the Araxi service and select Properties. 3) In the Log On tab, enter a local user account or a domain account using the format DOMAIN\USERNAME. 4) Install Prinergy 2.0.4 on the server. 5) After the installation is complete, you can change the startup account back to the way it was.
