Symptoms |
The install process appears in the NT Task Manager list, but the install program itself doesn't start up. |
Cause |
Another process might be running that may have acquired some exclusive system resource that prevents the Installer from starting up in the normal way. For example, under certain conditions, the pcAnywhere Host Adminstrator applet has been observed to cause this. | |

Solution |
Identify which process or application is blocking the Installer start up. Close applications one by one, or terminate processes if absolutely necessary, until the Installer is able to start up. Permanent fix: |
