Symptoms |
When a PDF file is viewed or proofed, Courier font is plainly evident, even though the original Quark document never used Courier. No errors or warnings were reported when the PostScript was refined in Prinergy. |
Cause |
This is a known font substitution problem with QuarkXPress 4.0x. When you output as PostScript from Quark, it will occasionally substitute references to Courier without a message indicating that it has done so. | |
Solution |
Ensure all fonts needed by the document are correctly installed on the Macintosh before creating PostScript output from QuarkXPress 4.0x. Permanent fix: |
