Symptoms |
The SuccessfulBackup.cmd script has been edited. Oracle backup runs, but the system backup still doesn't start. |
Cause |
To enable system backups, the SuccessfulBackup.cmd script must be edited and the line that starts the system backup must be uncommented. There are two versions of the SuccessfulBackup.cmd script. During installation, the file is installed in AraxiHome\CreoAraxi\setup\Oracle\BackupConfigurationFiles, then copied to Ora816\Creo\Util after Oracle is installed. It is the file in the Ora816 folder that gets run at the end of the Oracle backup. If the change is made to the wrong file, the backup won't run. |

Solution |
Make sure the right script file is edited when enabling the system backup. It is the Ora816\Creo\Util\SuccessfulBackup.cmd script that should be edited, not AraxiHome\CreoAraxi\setup\Oracle\BackupConfigurationFiles\SuccessfulBackup.cmd. To enable the system backup, uncomment the line that runs the StartAraxiBackup script. Permanent fix: |
