Error |

Symptoms |
Spot color recipes used by color combiner do not produce the expected color on proofing output when the target is RGB or Grayscale. |
Cause |
The recipes are converted from their original colorspace to CMYK by the Creo colormatcher. Then they are converted from CMYK to the target space by the color combiner. This produces inferior results compared to converting the recipes directly from their source space to the target space. | |
Solution |
There is a parameter: /OutputRecipeSpace that can have one of two values: /AlwaysDeviceCMYK /SameAsTargetSpace The default value will be /AlwaysDeviceCMYK but this can be controlled by replacing the file CreoAraxi\data\ColorMatcher\DefaultOutputPDFCPreferences.prf for a particular instance of the Creo colormatcher JTP. The replacement preference file should have /OutputRecipeSpace set to /SameAsTargetSpace. This will instruct the Creo colormatcher to convert recipes directly to the target space. Permanent fix: |
