Error |

Symptoms |
When a job has multiple spot colors and SOME spot colors are set to output separately and some are set to convert to process, the converted colors do not print with the color recipe saved inside the color database. |
Cause |
The color combiner is not being used to convert the spots unless ALL spots get converted to process but the RIP is doing the conversion. When the RIP does the conversion, it does not receive the proper spot color recipes | |
Solution |
Temporarily change the spot color recipe of the colors you wish to output separately to be 0,0,0,0 and output CMYK with the output Process plan set to "Convert All spots to process" and "Use color combiner" ON. Then output the spot colors using a different process plan that has "Convert All spots to process" OFF. Permanent fix: |
