Symptoms |
Refiner reports a missing image even though the page appears to be complete. |
Cause |
If an image is placed in the desktop page layout application and then moved outside of its clipping path (often referred to as a crop box), then the image will be cropped out (discarded) when PostScript is distilled to PDF. If the PostScript was generated thin (omit TIFF & EPS) and an OPI server that preserves OPI comments is used to fatten up the PostScript, then the Refiner will report the cropped-out image as missing even if the image is successfully merged by OPI. |

Solution |
In the process plan, set the Refiner to "not fail on missing images". Permanent fix: |
