Symptoms |
Everything except large colorized TIFFs are trapped on a page. |
Cause |
Trapper traps colorized TIFFs by autotracing them, creating vectors to be used as traps. Very complicated TIFFs would generate thousands of vectors, causing long delays in the trapper and downstream when RIPed. | |
Solution |
There are two workarounds: [a] Overprint the TIFF: In 1.1, use originating application or PitStop to set overprint. In 2.0, use the Overprint Selected Object tool in the TrapEditor. [b] Open TIFF in Photoshop, and use the Trap filter to add a mix of foreground and background colors. Permanent fix: |
