Symptoms |
Objects set to overprint in the PDF are displayed as if they are knockout images. The PDF file could be from any source that uses overprints to paint the page. These could include: - a page which has been designed to use overprints - a PDF 1.4 page that has been flattened to PDF 1.3 - a PDF page from the CEPS JTP or PDF2Go |

Cause |
Adobe Acrobat does not display overprinting at all. For example, if you have a yellow triangle set to overprint on top of an image, you should still see the C,M,K data from the image. Acrobat displays this as if the yellow triangle was knocking out the image. |

Solution |
A. Use the Separation Viewer plug-in, or generate VPS proofs, to confirm overprinting. B. Or use the Overprint Preview feature in Acrobat 5. Permanent fix: |
