Symptoms |
The shapes of some objects that involve transparency created and flattened in Adobe Illustrator 9 are altered. |
Cause |
Since Prinergy 1.1 and 2.0 do not support transparency, all Adobe Illustrator files that use transparency must be flattened while saving to EPS. There are some problems with the flattening code in Illustrator 9.x. |

Solution |
A. Open the file in Illustrator 10 and save it as an Illustrator 9 or 10 EPS. To make recommended settings in the AI 10 file: 1. Go to File>Document Setup, and click the Printing & Export view. 2. Set the Output Resolution to 2400 dpi. 3. Set the Gradient Mesh Resolution to 300 dpi. 4. Clear Compatible Gradient and Gradient Mesh Printing. 5. Switch to the Transparency view, and set the Raster/Vector Balance slider all the way to the right. 6. Select Preserve Overprints When Possible. 7. Click OK, and Save the file. Permanent fix: |
