Error |
"Error in copydot detection" message appears while refining |
Symptoms |
"Error in copydot detection" message appears while refining, and Diag logs have messages about "Viewer notified FROs deleted for job". |
Cause |
Problem appears after user edits a PDF, using Pitstop, that has been previously refined with the copydot JTP enabled. When the edited PDF is re-refined, the error appears. The Pitstop edits cause the copydot images tiles to be renumbered, and invalidates some internal metadata about the tiles. During the second refine, the copydot JTP recognizes the information mismatch and fails the refine. |

Solution |
The information mismatch does not affect output of the file, so don't bother doing a second refine -- just replace the original PDF in the subpages folder with the edited one. Permanent fix: |
