Symptoms |
NOTE: This problem is related to the Postscript 3 output feature ONLY. When PostScript output is generated for a page containing duotone eps images (spot color plus black), they appear as inverted black images (like a monochrome negative), when printed on an Epson9000 via the Fiery RIP. To reproduce: Create a LoosePage process plan to generate PostScript 3 output. Use this PP to generate a Postscript 3 file for a page containing duotone (black+spot) data. Send the created PostScript file to the EPSON 9000 via the Fiery RIP. Observe that the duotone data containing the spot colors appear as negative black/white images. |

Solution |
Edit the Epson9000Header.PS file (this file can be found in the %ARAXIHOME%\AdobeExtreme\bin directory). Add the following two lines after the line containing the /ProcessColorModel key: dup /SeparationColorNames undef dup /SeparationOrder undef Save the file. Restart ProofWorks and do the same test. This time you should observe the duotone images displayed correctly. Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0 |
