Symptoms |
During the installation of Prinergy, the account creation step fails with a message saying it cannot add the Araxi account to the administrators group, and that this will have to be done manually. The installation will continue after the user clicks OK on this message. |
Cause |
When the installer creates the Araxi account, this account needs to be added to the local administrators group. The "administrators" group must be referenced in the language of the local operating system, so on most non-English versions of NT, this step fails. In Prinergy 1.1, the installer has been set up to handle English or German. There have also been some reported cases of German NT with an English "administrators" group. This situation, or any language version of NT that is not English or German, will fail. |

Solution |
If the user clicks OK on this error message, installation will continue. After installation is complete: 1.) Manually add the Araxi account to the administrators group. 2.) Make sure it has 'Log on as a Service' and 'Act as part of the OS' rights. Permanent fix: |
