Symptoms |
During the account creation part of Prinergy installation, the following error message appears: "ISPRIV.ISPRIV_AddUserToLocalGroup Failed. Returned code: XXXX" and the installation fails. |

Cause |
When the installer creates the Araxi account, it needs to be added to the local administrators group. On non-English versions of NT, the administrators group is called something else ("administratoren" in German), so this step fails. | |

Solution |
1.) Run the installer in advanced mode (run setup -advanced from a command prompt at \PrinergyServer[platform]\Araxi). In advanced mode, the installer will display one final summary screen before the actual installation begins, showing all of the actions it will perform. 2.) Uncheck the entry for "Create 'Araxi' Account", then click 'Next' to begin installation. 3.) After installation is complete: - manually create the Araxi account, - add it to the administrators group, and - grant it 'Log on as a Service' and 'Act as part of the OS' rights. Permanent fix: |
