Error |

Symptoms |
Using Quark XPress 4.X, the bleed is missing after normalizing in Prinergy. There is sufficient room around the trim, but the bleed isn't there. |
Cause |
Quark allows the user to specify the amount of bleed when printing PostScript files. This is a feature new in Quark 4. Quark's normal default value for bleed is 0, so it appears that bleed is lost even though Adobe Acrobat shows sufficient area to contain bleed outside the trim lines. | |
Solution |
Rewrite the PostScript from Quark, setting a bleed amount in the Print dialog box. Typical amounts to use for bleed are 0.125" or 4 mm. Permanent fix: |
