Symptoms |
When using the Windows Enfocus Measure tool, sometimes the floating window disappears and won't show up again. |
Cause |
The Windows Enfocus Measure tool has a bug. If its floating window is closed with its upper left corner off the screen to the top or left (i.e. with a negative x or y coordinate), then the next time the Enfocus Measure tool is started, its floating window will not appear on the screen. The tool keeps the floating window's previous position as a preference, and likely can't interpret the negative numbers it wrote for a position. Since the preferences are persistent, once the floating window has disappeared it will never show again, even if Acrobat is restarted. |

Solution |
Delete the preferences file %SystemRoot%\Enfocus Prefs Folder\Measure Preferences. Permanent fix: |
