1) Prinergy Administration fails to connect to DASS reports: Unable to connect to the DEVICES AND SERVICES DAEMON on <SERVERNAME> (10085---communication failure --no server at host: 127.0.0.1 [Completion status: COMPLETED_NO]}. 2) Prinergy Administration reports: Application: SERVERNAME\Orbix Daemon Terminated Abnormally 3) Windows NT reports and Dr. Watsons: The instruction at "0x1002b77b" referenced memory at "Ox645f5549". The memory could not be "read" Click on OK to terminate the application. |

Cause |
A shared Dynamic Linked Library, MSVCRT.DLL was replace by a newer version than the version installed by Prinergy. The most likey cause of this is an installation of an new application. The correct version of MSVCRT.DLL is 5.00.7303 MSVCRT 6.0+ has been shown to exhibit this behavior. |

How do I check what version of MSVCRT.DLL is running? 1) In Windows Explorer, browse to %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\MSVCRT.DLL ie: D:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\MSVCRT.DLL 2) Right-click on the file and select Properties.
