Symptoms |
Optimizer reports that the input PDF file cannot be used because it contains mixed separated and composite pages. |
Cause |
Users can manually make such a PDF but it's almost impossible to get an application such as Quark or PageMaker to do it with the normal print commands. Remember that Prinergy will only promise support for separated input from Quark and PageMaker (although a number of other applications also work; this is great but not fully supported). | |

Solution |
1. Make two copies of the original PDF, since this workaround will alter the original file in ways that cannot be undone. 2. From the first copy, use Acrobat to delete the "composite" pages. 3. From the second copy, use Acrobat to delete the "separated" pages. 4. Register and refine the two new PDF files. Permanent fix: |
