Error |

Symptoms |
Harmony application is unable to save the database when Prinergy is running. This may also happen when exiting Harmony. |
Cause |
The Prinergy RIP accesses the database via the UNC share name. This appears to preclude anybody else from accessing the same file except through the same UNC share. | |
Solution |
The default path names set up in the Registry should be in UNC format, listing the Harmony share on the primary server. Using a local path name will result in Harmony being unable to save data back into the database when Prinergy is running. For example, with a primary server named "MOO" on which a share named "Harmony$" has been created that contains the Harmony database: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Creo\Harmony\HarmonyDatabaseFile = \\MOO\Harmony$\CalCurve.hmy HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Creo\Harmony\HarmonyDatabaseShare = \\MOO\Harmony$\Harmony.exe Permanent fix: |
