Symptoms |
APA cannot assign a page to ALL pagesets. |
Cause |
APA cannot assign a page to ALL pagesets. The wildcarding only applies to filenames. Pagesets back-reference a pageset variable from the filename. | |
Solution |
For example: ASSIGN= "[$].p[#Position].pdf" "[$]" [#Position] 1 This would work (for example, FrontCover.p1.pdf would go to p1 position of FrontCover pageset). Note that the use of the variable for the pageset is dependent on the variable being defined from the filename (second "$" is dependent on first "$"). ASSIGN= "*.p[#Position].pdf" "[$]" [#Position] 1 This would NOT work (The "$" in pageset must have been defined by the input file name.) Therefore, you cannot use a single APA statement to assign pages to the appropriate page position in all page sets. You will have to create an APA file (with many APA statements) that manually does so. This may be fixed in Prinergy 2.1 Permanent fix: |
