Symptoms |
QuarkXPress 5 creates a rotated page |
Cause |
QuarkXPress is using an older version of the Prinergy Refiner PPD. Specifically, inside the PPD should be the line: <snip> 18 Jan 99: custom page size code was reversing the width/height; fixed. </snip> |

Solution |
Using the newer Prinergy Refiner PPD, the pages will be rotated correctly. . You can obtain the newer Prinergy Refiner PPD from eCentral. The Mac version of the PPD is installed whenever the Prinergy Workshop is installed (Macintosh HD\System Folder\Extensions\Printer Descriptions). You can simply copy this PPD, rename it to "PRINREFE.PPD" (PC-style name), and copy it to the appropriate location on the PC. Permanent fix: |
