Symptoms |
Pages that use transparency do not appear correctly in Adobe Acrobat after they have been flattened in either the creating application (Illustrator 9, InDesign 2, etc.), or in Prinergy 2.1. |
Cause |
The flattener makes extensive use of overprinting objects. If your PDF viewer doesn't have overprint previewing available (Acrobat 4) or turned on (Acrobat 5), some flattened objects may appear incorrectly. Some flattener bugs turn out to be simple Acrobat viewing problems. |
Solution |
You can use one of the following methods to verify flattening results: 1. Use the Overprint Preview feature in Acrobat 5. 2. In Acrobat 4 or 5, use the Separation Viewer plug-in. 3. Generate VPS proofs to confirm overprinting. Permanent fix: |
