Symptoms |
If image (TIFF) is placed in Freehand: - running the Freehand EPS through Prinergy with OPI off = good TIFF position - running the Freehand EPS through Prinergy with OPI on = bad TIFF position, with a subtle shift in the image |
Cause |
It appears that when Freehand places a TIFF file, it includes OPI comments for that image, even if the EPS from Freehand includes the high resolution image. The high resolution TIFF file is placed appropriately in the Freehand EPS. However, the OPI comment tied to that TIFF specifies different placement. Therefore, when Prinergy performs it's OPI, it places the TIFF according to the OPI comment ( in the "wrong place" according to the user, but in the "right place" according to the OPI comments in the EPS). |

Solution |
1. Don't attempt to use OPI on a Freehand EPS that includes images. 2. Place the EPS only into Freehand (Freehand does not include OPI comments for EPS images). Permanent fix: |
