Symptoms |
While updating Workshop on Mac OSX with Acrobat 6 installed, the "Finish Installation" portion of the CAU fails while updating the Prinergy Plugins. |
Cause |
With Acrobat 6, Adobe has moved plugins inside the The Acrobat 6 (package). In OSX the user installing workshop does not have read and write privileges to the Acrobat 6 application. | |

Solution |
Log in to the MAC with a User that has Administrator privileges To change the permissions on the Acrobat 6 package Find your "Acrobat 6 Professional" folder Usually stored in the "Applications" folder on your Mac harddrive Open this Folder and Highlight the "Acrobat 6 Professional" application file (AKA Package) Choose "Get Info" or CMD+I Click the "Ownership and Permissions" Drill Down Set the field "Others" to "Read & Write" Close the "Get Info" Box Relaunch Workshop and Finish the Installation If you are concerned with the security of the "Acrobat" package, you can reset the permissions to its orignal configuration.
