Symptoms

Only one screen system selection is available in the process plan editor.

Cause

To avoid failure on output (example, sending a Staccato job to a JTP that is not licensed for Staccato), Prinergy only displays the last-specified screening in the drop-down list of available screen systems. (This last-specified screen system will change depending on which screen was saved in that process plan).

Solution

In cases where last-minute screening changes are required, you have the following options:

Option A.

1. For Staccato process plans, specify the Staccato JTP explicitly.

2. For AM process plans, put the two AM JTPs in a pool and select the pool.

Option B.

1. For Staccato process plans, specify the Staccato JTP explicitly.

2. For AM process plans, put all three JTPs in a pool, but be aware that while the pool is selected, the dot shape cannot be changed. In order to change the dot shape, select any single JTP, set the dot shape, and then re-select the pool.
