Cause |
When sending data to the device, we first compress the bands of data while we're buffering and then decompress just before we send the data to the device. We use a third party compression algorithm to do this. Sometimes it fails. We're not sure why and we were never able to get to the bottom of this problem. The solution has always been to change a registry setting to not do this compression. Impact is minimal and shouldn't be noticed. "GDEN_EnableRasterCompression" registry key on the Renderstation should be set to 0. |
