Symptoms |
Prinergy 3.0 Workshop no longer launches after you install Apple update 7.0.4 for QuickTime. This only applies to Prinergy 3.0 Workshop clients running on MacOS 10.3.9 (Panther). MacOS X 10.4 (Tiger) users do not appear to be affected. Prinergy 2.3 Workshop clients running Mac OS 10.3.9 or 10.4 are also not affected.

Cause |
Apple recently released update 7.0.4 for QuickTime. Unfortunately, Prinergy 3.0 Workshop will no longer launch if this update has been installed. The icon bounces in the Dock a few times, but nothing else happens. | |

Solution |
Upgrade to 3.0.3.1 and 3.1.0.2, where this issue should be fixed. Alternately, - Select Workshop icon, rightclick+"Show Package Contents" - Go to \Contents\MacOS - rename the "JavaApplicationStub" file to "JavaApplicationStub.original" - Copy (not Move) the version of the "JavaApplicationStub" file from /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/A/Resources/MacOS/ . Workshop should now launch. Permanent fix: |
