Symptoms

Can I run Prinergy on my Intel Macintosh?

Cause

Solution

The Prinergy development team has completed some limited testing with a prototype Intel Macintosh as well as a production version.

To date, no major issues have been found.

.

There is an issue with the Workshop updater for Prinergy 3.0.3.0, and we obtained a fix from our supplier. The final fix for Intel Mac installation of Workshop is in 3.1.0.3.

In the interim, Prinergy Workshop can be installed by making a copy of Workshop and related components from another Mac client.

To do so, if you have already installed the latest Workshop on another Mac OSX system using the default paths and Acrobat 6.0 installed, take the following directories and files.

- Applications:Creo:Prinergy ( This will include Workshop/Preps/VPS )

- Applications:Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional:Acrobat 6.0 Professional:Contents:Plug-ins:Prinergy Plug-ins (You will have to do show Package Contents on Acrobat 6.0 Professional)

- Library:Frameworks:Eve3.framework

- Library:Application Support:Creo:Workshop

- Library:Application Support:Adobe PDF:Settings:Prinergy Pages.joboption

- Library:Application Support:Adobe PDF:Startup:CreoDistillerAssistant

- System Folder:Extensions:USBSentinel (if running Heidelberg trapper plugin.)

- System Folder:Extensions:RainbowUSBShim (if running Heidelberg trapper plugin)

- System Folder:Extensions:Printer Descriptions:Prinergy Refiner

- User:Shared:Adobe PDF 6.0:Settings:Prinergy Pages.joboptions

- User:Shared:Adobe PDF 6.0:Startup:CreoDistillerAsssistant

- (HD ROOT):About the Refiner PPD

.

Note: There are no plans to officially support Intel Macs with Prinergy 2.x
