What is the "Preserve Transparency (warning: Beta!)" option in the Normalize section of refine process templates? It appears in Prinergy 3.0.x and later. |

Solution |
This feature was put in to aid some Layered PDF Versioning scenarios (the Generate JTP was having trouble resolving objects because different versions of the same page had different flattening results). As the User Interface indicates, it is nothing that is supported, or that is expected to work in a broad (throw everything at it) workflow. Note: Trapping and ColorMatching are unlikely to give good results (because, at this time, they do not recognize native transparency commands). It will probably work best if the incoming file is already in the color space that you want. Insite Smart Review will not give correct results (may preview incorrectly, eyedropper tool may give incorrect values). Use of this option is not recommended. Do so at your own risk. Permanent fix: |
