Error

Printers path has changed. Preps must be restarted.

Symptoms

When you start Preps from Prinergy Workshop, the error message appears. Preps then quits.

Cause

Solution

Select one of the following solutions:

• Unmount the AraxiPreps volume and let Workshop automatically mount it in the protocol it prefers. In Workshop, select Tools > Start > Imposition Application, and let Prinergy mount the volume.

Or,

• Locate Mac > Applications > Creo > Prinergy > AraxiPreps > Profiles > PrepsPrinergy and use TextEdit to open the PrepsPrinergy.cfg file.
• If the line MACPPDPATHS:ARAXIPREPS:Printers:ppd: appears, Preps expects the mount to be SMB.
• If the line MACPPDPATHS:AraxiPreps:Printers:ppd: appears, Preps expects the mount to be AFP.


Note: Preps automatically writes this line of code based on the file sharing protocol that Prinergy is using. This is determined in the registry at: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Creo\Araxi\Settings\Default\
System\FileSystemConnectivityForOSXClient.

Or,

• If using SMB on the server, change the AraxiPreps share to be all uppercase:
1. On the primary server, right-click My Computer and select Manage.
2. Locate System Tools > Shared Folders > Shares.
3. Right-click the AraxiPreps share and select Stop Sharing.
4. In Windows Explorer, locate
   <system drive>\Prinergy\CreoAraxi\AraxiPreps.
5. Right-click the AraxiPreps folder and select Sharing.
6. Select Share this folder and type ARAXIPREPS.
