Symptoms |
CPC32 V1.0 does not recognize .ppf files. CPC32 V1.0 cannot be configured to look for .ppf files. |
Cause |
There is a problem with PrintLink and CPC32 V1.0. The CPC32 is looking for a .cip file and we produce out of Prinergy a .ppf file (which is considered the correct extension for a PPF file; .cip is a holdover from the early days of CIP3). CPC32 V2.0 can be configured to look for .ppf files, but this capability is not included in version 1.0. (iMPAct PrintLink had a utility that combined files specifically for the CPC32 and as a part of that process changed the file extension.) | |

Solution |
Upgrade to CPC32 version 2.0. This costs the customer about US$400, which they have to pay Heidleberg. Permanent fix: |
