Error |

Symptoms |
Certain screening and spot color handling parameters cause output to slow down significantly. |
Cause |
Some threshold arrays in the Creosettes family of screen systems are too large for the RIP to handle with its current memory configuration. | |
Solution |
Changing ruling or switching spot color handling from convert to process to outputting separately causes the output speed to improve significantly. The new RIP memory configurations allow the RIP to handle the large threshold arrays more efficiently. The files affected on 1.1 systems are: \Prinergy\AdobeExtreme\Bin\CreoStartupRIPOnly\CreoParams.ps \Prinergy\AdobeExtreme\Bin\RipConfig.high \Prinergy\AdobeExtreme\Bin\RipConfig.low \Prinergy\AdobeExtreme\Bin\RipConfig.type3 Contact Dirk De keersmaecker for a pre-release patch.
