Symptoms |
Behaviour of Workshop and Workshop installer is unpredictable if both Acrobat Exchange and Acrobat Reader are installed: 1. Double clicking on a page in Workshop launches Acrobat Reader instead of Exchange. 2. Double clicking on a page in Workshop launches the wrong version of Acrobat Exchange. 3. In Prinergy 2.0, Mac mini installer of plugins fails. 4. In Prinergy 1.1, Mac installer fails to install plugins. |

Cause |
Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Exchange both share the same creator type (CARO). This means that the Mac OS's support for finding an application based on creator type can return either one. Workshop/Installer asks the MacOS for the application whose file type is CARO and gets the wrong one. |

Solution |
Make sure that there is only one version of Acrobat Exchange installed and no versions of Acrobat Reader installed. Permanent fix: |
