This document describes how to downgrade the PlateMaster Archiver from a Jukebox configuration to a Single DLT configuration.

To complete this downgrade, you will require the following materials:

· Archiver 4.1 installation documents (see the PlateMaster Archiving Solutions Installation page at http://intranet.creo.com/support/html/workflow/PM_Archiving_Solutions/install.htm)

· Archiver key – a file that containing the security id. Contact the Response Center to obtain this file. It should be copied onto a disk, which is labeled appropriately.

· One primary DLT drive kit (drive, cable) and one or more additional DLT drive kits (optional).

· The Archiver installation package. This package is a CD that contains the Tape Maintenance Utility User Manual, the Archiver 4.x Release Notes, the Archiver software for all platforms, the Archiver Installation and Installation Supplement documents.

To complete the downgrade:

1. Stop the Archiver by typing ‘stop arch’ in the PlateMaster window.

2. From the command prompt run regedt32.exe.

3. Delete the following keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Creo\Arch PVR 0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Creo\PlateMaster1.2\Archive

4. Follow the procedures for a production installation of the Individual DLT drive as described in section 4.2 of the Archiver 4.1 installation document.

NOTE: For PlateMaster Archiver 4.x, the executable for the Individual and Jukebox is the same, so the software does not need to be reinstalled, but you still need to configure the drive. you can skip step 8, archiving installation, in Section 4.2.2.
