Prinergy 1.1 patch #19 reverts the OracleBackupManager configuration to default values. |

Solution |
If patch 19 is installed or removed/reinstalled, check the OracleBackupManager configuration. Patch 19 will reset all the parameters to default values. The two parameters that are causing the most problems are SHUTDOWN_TO_BACKUP and BACKUP_DESTINATION. The default setting for SHUTDOWN_TO_BACKUP is NO and BACKUP_DESTINATION is E:|ORACLE|ARCHIVEDLOGFILES. If Basic Backup is installed, the backup will hang if SHUTDOWN_TO_BACKUP is set to NO.
