Symptoms |
Suprarip.exe crashes with an error such as, "ARAXI suprarip ?: ?: System exception C0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at address 005dc297" (although the address will probably never be the same). The job hangs while proofing/plating, with a status of Active at Service Output. No error message appears in Workshop. All subsequent jobs will fail with the same error, even if the first job is deleted from the queue. |

Cause |
The problem is caused by a bad PDF file. | |

Solution |
Restart Prinergy. You will need to determine on which page(s) the error occurs. Perhaps it is a customer-supplied PDF that was prepared without using our distiller plugin. The best troubleshooting approach is to have the customer submit a known good file. The difficulty with this case is that it may masquerade as a systems problem. However, this error is almost always file-related. Permanent fix: |
