Symptoms |
Plateworks RIP is unable to create a temporary file when the customer attempts to make plates of a Prinergy job. The error message, "Unable to create temporary file" appears. |
Cause |
Slash characters are illegal in an NT filename and so the temporary file can't be created. If you create a Preps JT with slashes in the name (for example, "Page\1") and attempt to plate it, you will receive the above error message. | |
Solution |
Resave your Prinergy JT out of Preps without the slash characters. Permanent fix: |
