Symptoms |
When upgrading a system using an ATL 2640 tape library to Windows 2000, the tape library's existing controller board and robotic board are not compatible with Windows 2000. There are two scenarios when it is likely that the ATL 2640 tape library's controller and robotic boards will have to be upgraded: 1) An iMPAct customer is migrating to Prinergy 2.0. 2) A Prinergy 1.1 customer upgrading to Prinergy 2.0. (A few of these customers may be using the 2640.) |

Solution |
Upgrade the multi-unit controller board (firmware 2B) and the robotics controller board (firmware 5B) to work with Windows 2000. For the procedure to set up the ATL 2640 for Windows 2000, see the workaround "Setting up ATL 2640 for Windows 2000" on the ATL 2640 Knowledge Base page (http://intranet.creo.com/support/html/workflow/archiver_hardware/vendor/atl/2640/knowledge.htm).
