Symptoms |
***Applies to Prinergy 2.0 Connect, Direct, Powerpack, and Satellite, depending on licensed configuration.*** Images tinted in PageMaker lose the tint attribute when output in Prinergy. The image looks correct in the PDF file but the output is incorrect. How to reproduce the problem: 1. Place a grayscale TIFF image in PageMaker. 2. Change the tint to 10%. 3. Create composite PostScript. 4. Refine and output the file in Prinergy. The image that was tinted in the PDF is at 100% on output. |

Solution |
Use Photoshop to adjust the tint before placing the image in PageMaker. Alternatively, use QuarkXpress instead of PageMaker. Prinergy 2.1 fixes this issue. Permanent fix: |
