Symptoms |
A Prinergy process plan is configured to generate a 1-bit TIFF in the Brisque Expose hot folder. During the 1-bit TIFF file generation, Prinergy creates a temporary folder in the Brisque hot folder directory. Once the file creation is complete, Prinergy moves the 1-bit TIFF file out of the Temp directory so that the hot folder mechanism can pick it up and expose it. During the move of the 1-bit TIFF out of the Temp directory, the Brisque hot folder registers the 1-bit TIFF twice, and thus exposes the separation two times. |

Solution |
Set up the receiving hot folder on the Brisque to send (move) the file into the final exposure hot folder on the Brisque. The send command will only send one file to the final output. Receive Folder > Send > Exposure Folder works alright, but is complicated to manage if you deal with several plate sizes. In one reported case, it was necessary to introduce a third hot folder in the queue to translate the 1-bit TIFF into LW in order to stop spiral during exposure (Receive Folder > Send > Translate Folder > Translate into NLW + Send > Exposure Folder).
