Symptoms |
Traps are generated in ArtPro and then saved as composite PostScript for use in Prinergy. After normalizing and viewing the normalized PDF in Acrobat, any traps that are trapped into a CT image convert to CMYK. The same problem occurs when the file is distilled. |
Cause |
PostScript was meant to print to a CMYK color printer only. Export PDF in ArtPro 6.0 will output PDF 1.3. This version cannot contain two spot colors in one object, so ArtPro converts the object to CMYK. | |

Solution |
The only way to maintain traps in ArtPro for processing in Prinergy, we must write out dcs2 out of ArtPro. See the "ArtPro to Priergy Best Practices" document. Permanent fix: |
