Symptoms |
On a Mac, files appear with the PC text icon rather than the VPS or PRV icon. VPS does not launch when a preview file is selected. |
Cause |
The files are not associated with the VPS or PRV extension on the Windows 2000 file server.

Solution |
Create a Mac association to the preview files: 1. In Computer Management, right-click Shared Folders and select Configure File Server for Macintosh. 2. On the File Association tab, in the Files with MS DOS Extension box, type VPS and click Add. 3. In the Creator box, type Cre2. 4. In the File type box, select VPS. 5. In the Description type box, select Creo Preview, and click OK. 6. To create an association for PRV files, in the Files with MS DOS Extension box, type PRV. 7. From the Macintosh Document Creator and Type list, select Cre2 - VPS (note that this is case-sensitive), then select Associate. Permanent fix: |
