Error |

Symptoms |
1. When opening a job, a dialog box prompts you to mount the job's home server, even though you already have it mounted. 2. When using the Add Input or Add imposition dialog boxes, you can't see one of the servers you have mounted in the list of available volumes (Prinergy 1). 3. The Save Workflow Toolbar to Job menu item is greyed out (Prinergy 2). |

Cause |
The Mac figures out the zone by a different mechanism and asks the server if it can see this volume. Since the server thinks the volume is in a different zone, it replies that it can't. The server-side code depends on a Registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Appletalk\Parameters\DesiredZone to figure out which zone a given server is in. Ordinarily, this Registry entry is filled in by the Windows NT when it starts the Appletalk service, but sometimes it fails. |

Solution |
1. On the primary server and on each secondary server (and each Windows tertiary server) manually edit the Registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Appletalk\Parameters\DesiredZone. 2. Set it to match the zone specified in the Mac's Chooser. Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0 |
