Error |
All secondary servers must be stopped |
Symptoms |
Reverting to Prinergy secondary server on an EPM or EPM+ system does not work. The failover server reports the error: All secondary servers must be stopped, even though the secondary server has already stopped. |
Cause |
During the initial Switch to Primary command, UADM on the Prinergy failover server is supposed to update the PrimaryNodeName values in the Araxi/Default/Settings/System keys on all secondary servers to point them to the failover server as the new primary. If this update fails for any reason, the failover process continues anyway, leaving the registry values unchanged. This may happen on more than one secondary server in a large system. The exact circumstances under which this occurs are unclear. |

Solution |
Manually edit the PrimaryNodeName registry value on all offending secondaries to point to the failover server, and then reboot the secondaries. When the secondaries are running again, you can revert the failover server to a secondary. Permanent fix: |
