Symptoms |
When you attempt to place a trap-edited PDF page into a QuarkXPress image frame, QuarkXPress reports that the file is not a recognized type. The same file places with no problem if you do not not edit it in TrapEditor and save it. |
Cause |
Adobe Acrobat 6 revs the PDF to version 1.5 when you save it. QuarkXPress does not recognize the version 1.5 file as something it can work with. This is a limitation in QuarkXPress, but the problem is in the way Acrobat 6 saves the file. This is not a limitation of the TrapEditor plug-in. | |

Solution |
Re-refine the PDF after you save it in Acrobat 6. This will re-set the PDF version to 1.3. Permanent fix: |
