Solution |
1. Setup the NT user account and password that you wish to run Prinergy under (see the notes below). 2. Shutdown Prinergy. 3. Start the Control Panel. 4. Start the Services applet. 5. Select the service called Araxi. 6. Click on the "Startup..." button. 7. Setup the new account and password, and press OK. 8. Exit the Control Panel. 9. Restart Prinergy. You must perform steps 3-8 on every Prinergy server (Primary, Secondary, RenderStation) in the system -- Prinergy must be running under the same account/password on all the Prinergy servers in the system. NOTE: If Prinergy fails to restart, then you probably mistyped the password or user account. NOTE: The NT user account that you wish to run Prinergy under must have the following rights: "Act as part of the operating system" and "Log on as a service" (these are found under "Advanced Rights"). An easy way to accomplish this is to give these rights to everyone in the Administrator group, then any account that is part of the Administrator group will get the correct rights. However, if the emphasis is on maintaining tight security, you may prefer to enable these advanced rights only for the specific individual accounts that truly require them, such as the Araxi service account.
