Symptoms |
This was a problem discovered at a European site where the outlined text behind another line of text shifted on one page of a two-page spread. The text in question was inside an Illustrator EPS placed in Quark and crossed over the two-page spread. The Postscript was saved out as two separate PS files (one for each page) and when the resulting PS was distilled, the background text was shifted on the right page. The left page of the two page spread was OK. |

Cause |
The problem was traced back to the PPD they were using. They were using a Dolev PPD out of Quark, and once they switched to an Acrobat PPD everything was fine. | |

Solution |
1) Save PS out as a two-page spread rather than 2 separate pages. 2) Convert the text to outlines in Illustrator. Permanent fix: |
