The Prinergy CollectBug utility is a command line utility that can be used to collect all the relevant information on a specific task. It will collect the PDF pages, imposition plan/marks, diagnostic logs, etc. It should be used to gather all of the information required to troubleshoot and diagnose a problem in the Prinergy system. |

Solution |
(1) You have to know the Prinergy Task ID of the task that you want to "CollectBug" for. The Prinergy Task ID can most easily be found by going to the job's History Log and looking at the first entry in the list in the history details for the task you are attempting to troubleshoot. It should say "Created a new process with identifier 39105.", in this case 39105 is the Prinergy Task ID. (2) Open a Command Prompt on the PRIMARY SERVER and type "CollectBug". Follow the prompts to enter the Prinergy Task ID from (1) and the name of the ZIP file to create with all of the information. The Task ID MUST be a FIVE digit number (add leading zeros as required). If this fails it may be because the path is not set up to the CollectBug utility. Note: When the comment prompt comes up, please enter some meaningful information to describe the issue. When complete use a '.' ON A NEW LINE to end the comment. The ZIP file contains all of the relevant information (PDF pages, Imposition plans/marks, diagnostic logs, etc.). Permanent fix: |
